Taken in Porto, Portugal. Port produced in the Douro Valley was once shipped downriver to the city of Porto in sailboats called barcos rabelos. These gondola like sailboats have been used for centuries to carry port up and down the river.The Douro River feeds into the Atlantic Ocean, just beyond the bridge.
