These plants can grow deep in the frozen North. The stamen of this newly opened flower are holding tight to their treasure of pollen. The bright yellow of the pollen is in stark contrast to the pure while of this lovely bloom.
Cylburn Arboretum is a 200-acre public garden and nature preserve. It is one of my favorite destinations any time of the year when I am looking to capture nature at it's finest.
