During a recent visit to Fauquier County, Virginia, we stayed at a lovely Bed and Breakfast in Upperville called The Blackthorne Inn. Besides being nestled in the beautiful countryside, it boasts a history steeped in Civil War lore.
Standing on the stone bridge that overlooks the lily pond, I was able to capture this scene. The lily pond was smooth as glass. This image of the gazebo and the trees reflected in the water highlights the serene beauty of this magical place.
