Description
This pink carpet was captured under a beautiful Magnolia Tree. Wikipedia describes Magnolia as an ancient genus. "Appearing before bees did, the flowers evolved to encourage pollination by beetles. Magnolia is a large genus of about 210 flowering plant species in the subfamily Magnolioideae of the family Magnoliaceae. It is named after French botanist Pierre Magnol. This magnificent flowering tree was captured at Cylburn Arboretum located in Baltimore, Maryland.

Cylburn Arboretum is a 200-acre public garden and nature preserve. It is one of my favorite destinations any time of the year when I am looking to capture nature at it's finest. Magnolia trees are at full bloom offering spectacular photo opportunities.
