Porto (Oporto), Portugal is a magnificent city that is welcoming, offering plenty of charm. The city is built on a steep incline along the hills overlooking the Douro River where it becomes an estuary that empties into the Atlantic Ocean. This view offers a glimpse of old meeting new. The solar panels and TV dishes stick out in stark contrast to this historic city that dates back to the 4th century.
