Artist's Description

This image was captured during a hike in Hawley, Pennsylvania, located in the Pocono Mountains. The borough was named for Irad Hawley, first president of the Pennsylvania Coal Company.
............................
Early industry centered around the transportation and support of nearby coal mining operations along with manufacturing facilities. As the supply of coal and lumber were depleted from the area, the need for the railroad diminished. This part of the abandoned track runs along the Lackawaxen River.
.......................................
This beautiful autumn capture of the railroad track is perfect wall art for any Railroad lover.
